CrossFit Equator (Jakarta) - Festival Of Champions 2011 Finals

This past weekend, from Friday Sept 23 – Sun Sept 25th, Crossfit Equator (Jakarta) held their first CrossFit Competition and Showcase at eX Plaza Indonesia, through the event called “Festival of Champions” partnered with PrimaFit. The event was also sponsored by L-Men and Celebrity Fitness. And best of all, all CrossFit Equator judges and athletes were endorsed by Reebok Indonesia with t-shirts and shoes!
And let me tell you. The competition was LEGIT. Equipments were lined up just like the games and the standards were kept very high. Chest to the ground burpees, hand release push ups and all the standards that you see in any CrossFit box and in the CrossFit games. We really showed all competitors and eX visitors what is CrossFit and had them experience it to the fullest. Here are the WODs that the competitors had to go through:
“Qualification Round”

The leaderboard transformed after every WOD. This showed typical CrossFit competition, the winners are not always the same because the workout favors different type of people. But in the end, we found the true “Champion of Champions”: Bambang with a score of a whopping 212 on the Final Round.
It was a great event. We learned a lot from it and this is only the first. Our vision is to have CrossFit accessible to everyone in Indonesia and this is the first in our mission book.
